The short version

No accounts, no servers of our own, and no analytics of our own. Your scores, records and settings are written to your device and stay there; we never see them and cannot read them. The titles marked below show advertising, and that advertising is provided by Google, which does collect data, and which you can decline without changing how anything works. Where a title sells something, Apple takes the payment and we are told only that an Apple Account is entitled — never who you are or how you paid.

There is no sign-in and no server.

What we store

High scores, statistics, progress and settings are written to a file inside the title's own storage on your iPhone. That file never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Deleting the app deletes it. Where the table above says a title syncs, the copy travels through your own iCloud account between your own devices; it does not pass through anything of ours and we cannot read it there either.

Advertising

Titles marked above as showing advertising use Google AdMob. There are no banners in anything we make, and nothing is ever shown while you are in the middle of something — no ad has ever interrupted a run or a game being tracked, and none ever will.

Our games show rewarded video only. An ad plays when you choose to watch one in exchange for something — an extra life, another attempt — and declining changes nothing about how the game plays.

Our apps may also show a full-screen ad between tasks. In HockeySense that is one advert after a completed game has been saved, which is the moment you have finished rather than been interrupted, and it is capped: not for your first few games, then at most one every third game, and never twice within half an hour. The rewarded video is still yours to choose — it opens your older games for 24 hours, and if no advert can be served it opens them anyway rather than holding your own records back.

To serve them, Google may collect and process device and advertising identifiers, approximate location, and information about how you interact with ads. Google's use of that data is governed by its own policies: Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses data in AdMob.

Before any ad is requested, the title asks for your consent choices. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you'll see a consent form, and on iOS you'll be asked whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, everything works exactly the same. You'll simply see less relevant advertising, or none. You can change that permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Purchases

Where a title sells something — today that is HockeySense Pro, as a subscription or as a one-time purchase — the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We never see and never receive your name, your card details, your billing address or your Apple Account. What the app is told is one fact: whether the Apple Account signed in on that device is entitled to the paid features.

That answer is read from Apple every time the app launches rather than written down, which is why a refund, a lapsed subscription or a change to your family sharing takes effect by itself. Purchases are restored on a new device with Restore purchase on the upgrade screen, because the entitlement belongs to your Apple Account and not to the handset.

Subscriptions are managed and cancelled where every other one is, in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Nothing you have recorded is deleted or withheld if you stop paying: the free version keeps working and your data stays on your device and in your backups. Payment is subject to Apple's standard licence terms and to the App Store's own privacy policy.

Game Center

If you're signed in to Apple's Game Center, a game may submit scores to leaderboards. This is optional and declining costs you nothing but the ranking. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Our games and apps are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through advertising in one of our apps, write to us and we'll act on it.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on request. For data held by Google in connection with advertising, use the Google links above. Deleting a title removes everything it stored on your device.
